It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

I may not have read much this past week but I am practically current on reviewing this years' books so I am making progress. Now to sneak in a review from last year's books so my long list of books awaiting reviews shrinks! This meme is hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.

  6. I've stopped accepting review books for a while to get my list down, but now I have one pile of reviews written but not posted, one pile of books read but with reviews not written, and I still have that review pile! Sigh .. but at least there's some space near the top of the read and review pile now as opposed to "oh, my goodness, how am I going to fit in these new review books?". Another month and a half to go on my self-imposed ban, so I'm hoping to see a big difference. I've been just writing a review a day and posting a review every other day in my efforts to get caught up!

  8. This is an impressive list. Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens looks especially good - I have not had an opportunity to read that one. My recent find is by author Sondra Wright who wrote, 40+ and Fabulous: Moving Forward Fierce, Focused, and Full of Life! The book is a collection of women in midlife along with a male perspective as well. What I loved about this one are the revealing, accurate images of what a woman’s experiences at midlife really are. I highly recommend this to women of all ages.

I have had to disable the anonymous comment option to cut down on the spam and I apologize to those of you for whom this makes commenting a chore. I hope you'll still opt to leave me your thoughts. I love to hear what you think, especially so I know I'm not just whistling into the wind here at my computer.
